These butter cookies belongs to the collection of easiest Christmas cookies to make. But they are not only loved for their fool proof ability to be made, but also for the combination of the fun time you have baking them and their crispy delicious taste.

Shopping List for 30 butter cookies
1 7/8 cup all purpose flour
3/8 cup granulated sugar
1 cup softened butter
1 tsp. vanilla sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup confectioners (powder) sugar for the glaze
Preparation Time: approx. 60 minutes
Directions for the butter cookies:
With a mixer using the dough hook, mix together the flour, egg, sugar, vanilla sugar and butter until they form a dough.
Flour your surface and roll out the dough to about 3 cm thick. Now take your favorite cookie cutters and have fun!
When your baking sheet (covered with baking paper) is full bake for 10 minutes at 374 Fahrenheit, until they are golden brown.
For the glaze: mix the confectioners sugar with a bit of water until you have a thick milky consistency. Start with 3 tsp. of water and mix until smooth. Add more water if it’s still to thick or more powder sugar if it’s too runny.
When the cookies are cool, cover with the glaze and allow to dry.
